1. Do I need to vacuum my carpet before your arrive?

It is not necessary to vacuum your carpet immediately before we arrive. We will vacuum your carpet before we start deep cleaning. However it is advisable to vacuum your carpets at least weekly to keep them clean and to ensure that they last longer.

2.  How long does it take to clean my carpets?   

It takes approximately 1 hour to clean 60 sq/m of carpets

3. How long do carpets take to dry?

After cleaning carpets take approximately 6-12 hours to dry completely depending on carpet texture weather temperature and ventilation. There is a marked difference after 4 hours

4. How often should I clean my carpets?

We recommend the following guidelines based on environmental & living conditions:

  • Two non-smoking adults living in house (clean carpets every 6 – 12 months)
  • Two Smoking adults living in house (clean carpets every 4 months)
  • If you have kids or pets in house (clean carpets every 6 months)
  • If you have kids and pets in house (clean carpets every 4 months)

A carpet is designed to hold it’s own weight in dirt. If you are noticing soil and dark areas on your carpet it is very dirty and you should have it cleaned immediately. These tips can double the life of your carpet and also have better indoor air quality

5. Do I need to replace my Carpets after Flood?

Not when you call The Carpet Clinic. Our water extraction equipment is very powerful and we use carpet deodorizers so there should be no need to replace your carpets.
